The International Congress on Science and Skiing (ICSS) offers a series of conferences with a rich scientific programme, including over 200 contributions among forums and oral presentations from all skiing disciplines and multiple research fields.
The congress also includes enjoyable social and sporting activities that highlight local culture and gastronomy.
Building on the success of previous editions held in Austria, the United States and Finland, the 11th edition of this prestigious congress takes place in Bormio, at the Alberti Institute, which offers a modern 250-seat auditorium and full technical facilities, as well as rooms for parallel sessions, seminars, exhibitions and multimedia displays.
The congress is part of the Cultural Olympiad 2026 initiative, the Milan Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad, a multidisciplinary, wide-ranging and capillary programme that has enlivened Italy by promoting Olympic values through culture, heritage and sport, on the occasion of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, hosted in February and March 2026.
