Ready to challenge his majesty the Stelvio by bike or on foot?
Re Stelvio Mapei has now become a classic, reaching its 42nd edition (22nd year of partnership with Mapei). More than 3,000 competitors, including runners and cyclists (professionals and amateurs), are ready to tackle the legendary Stelvio climb (21,097 km and 1,533 m of elevation gain) all the way to the summit, the Cima Coppi, at 2,758 m.
The event includes the 21 km road race and the competitive cycling race (reserved for licensed participants), the running event and the Mapei Memorial Aldo Sassi cycling gathering (open to everyone, licensed and non-licensed) and the non-competitive cycling gathering dedicated to pedal-assist bikes and supported by the slogan "+ Stelvio x tutti".
Due to the popularity of the race and the high number of participants, the climb from Bormio to Passo dello Stelvio will be closed to vehicular traffic from Loc. Bagni Vecchi from 8.45 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. (times to be confirmed).
