Dungeons & Dragons
It is a fantasy role-playing game based on storytelling and set in worlds where swords and magic are commonplace. Created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, it was first published in January 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules (TSR), a company founded by Gygax, which later transformed into TSR Hobbies and was acquired by Wizards of the Coast in 1997.
