Meet Tina and Milo, the mascots of Milan Cortina 2026 by Trudi
On Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17, starting at 3:00 PM, Tina and Milo await you in Piazza Cavour in Bormio!
Tina and Milo are produced and distributed by Trudi, an iconic Italian brand known worldwide for its high-quality stuffed animals and toys that stand out for their exceptional quality, attention to detail, and expressiveness of creations.
The mascots have been a fundamental part of the Games since 1968. They have the task, through a language accessible to all generations, to give concrete form to the Olympic and Paralympic spirit, to spread its values - perseverance, respect, inclusion, and dreaming - and to promote the history and culture of the host territories.
Tina, which is the diminutive of Cortina, is a white ermine and represents the Winter Olympic Games, while her brother Milo, diminutive of Milano, with a brown coat, is the testimonial of the Winter Paralympic Games. The design of the mascots is not just aesthetics, but visual storytelling. The clean lines, the color choices that evoke the purity of snow and the warm tones of the earth, along with the study of proportions, have been designed to make the two ermines versatile, empathetic, and modern.
They are the face of the Italian mountains, a symbol of nature, adventure, and sport, of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics that aim to be for everyone, the best ambassadors of a country that knows how to welcome, compete and innovate. The challenge has been carried forward by Trudi, which has translated the graphic design into a three-dimensional form capable of maintaining the essence of the original sketch while adding the tactile value of artisanal excellence.
With Tina and Milo, Trudi brings to the world a message of Italian-ness, quality, and imagination.
Tina and Milo are symbols of resilience and inclusion
The choice of the mascots conveys an important message. The ermine was chosen for its agility and its ability to change color according to the seasons. A perfect symbol of adaptation to climatic and environmental conditions. But the symbolism doesn't stop there. In fact, while Tina, the Olympic mascot, is the creative dreamer looking to the future and symbolizes innovation, Milo, who represents the Paralympics, delivers a valuable message of resilience and inclusion: born without a paw, thanks to his great willpower and creativity (he helps himself with his tail), he overcomes every obstacle, showing that diversity is a strength, not a limit.
