The Bormio Library, in collaboration with the Youth Centers of Alta Valtellina and Ludorama Boardgame, is proposing a series of evening events to "disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the world".
In an era increasingly dominated by technology, where smartphone and screen
use is now widely considered an addiction, there is a growing desire to experience genuine moments free from
digital distractions.
The event "Offline Library Club" kicks off
with exactly this purpose: to create a space where people can
switch off, slow down, relax, and "connect" only with one another; at
our offline evening you can read, talk, dance, play, and meet
new people, all without your phone.
The inspiration for the event comes from the Offline Clubs,
which started in Amsterdam and then expanded to cities such as Milan, London, Paris,
Dubai, and Barcelona. These clubs, designed for the well-being of the community,
organize events centered on being together without phones, in
response to an increasingly felt need: to step away from smartphones and
reconnect with people. Their motto is simple: "Swap screen time for real time". The goal:
to spend less time on your phone and more time creating real, genuine connections, both with yourself and with
others.
As always, there will also be board games, with many titles designed for all age groups, from games for beginners to those for experienced players and seasoned ones!
