First event of the Spring Series "Magical Notes in Valdidentro"
Composed by Gioachino Rossini between 1831 and 1841 and first performed in Paris in 1842, the powerful liturgical sequence Stabat Mater arose from the wish of the Spanish prelate Don Manuel Fernández Varela to preserve a manuscript by the Maestro from Pesaro.
Music and dance intertwine in a striking, contemporary performance: an ensemble and the dancers lead the audience through a reflection on the profound spiritual message of the work.
Monica Casadei’s choreography explores motherhood, sorrow and resilience, transforming Rossini’s music into a collective and universal prayer.

Artemis Danza - Monica Casadei | Choreography
A choreographer with a strong artistic vision and an international outlook, Monica Casadei founded Artemis Danza after training that took her from Italy to London and Paris. With over forty years of creative activity, the company is now a benchmark of Italian contemporary dance. Since 2005 she has developed the project Artemis meets other cultures, weaving together dance, research and dialogue between languages and countries, and building a solid international artistic network.
Antonio Amadei | Cello
A cellist of great experience and refinement, he graduated with top marks from the Parma Conservatoire and continued his studies with internationally renowned teachers. A winner of major competitions, he collaborates with prestigious musical institutions such as Accademia Bizantina, the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Turin and Teatro Regio di Parma. He is a member of the Amadei Trio and pursues an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad.
Beatrice Marozza | Violin
A versatile and sensitive violinist, she trained in Parma and at the Accademia of Teatro alla Scala. She collaborates with numerous orchestras in Italy and abroad and, alongside her classical work, develops original projects, founding ensembles such as Celtic Spirit and Artisti di Parma. She works with Artemis Danza on the project SACRO and, since 2023, has been exploring new musical languages in collaboration with the Stefania Rava Quartet, performing in major concert halls and festivals.
