On Wednesday, 30 December, the first of the two appointments of the historic event, which celebrates the prestigious milestone of 25 editions with music, tradition and Christmas atmosphere.

Music and tradition once again take centre stage at Christmas in Valdidentro with the 25th edition of the Rassegna Corale, one of the most eagerly awaited and appreciated events in the holiday calendar, capable every year of giving the audience moments of emotion and sharing through the harmony of voices.

A particularly significant milestone, that of 25 editions, which bears witness to the continuity and value of an event that has grown over time, becoming an important point of reference for the community and for lovers of choral music. A journey built through meetings, collaborations and musical moments that have helped keep alive a tradition deeply linked to the culture of our mountains.

Once again this year, the Rassegna will be held over two evenings, scheduled for 30 December in Isolaccia and 4 January in Premadio, offering the public two opportunities to immerse themselves in the evocative atmosphere of choral music during the Christmas holidays.

The first event at the Church of Isolaccia

The opening evening will take place on Wednesday, 30 December 2026 at the Parish Church of Isolaccia, which will provide the setting for a concert dedicated to music, tradition and emotion.

The event is organised and promoted in collaboration with the Coro Stelvio, conducted by Maestro Matteo Bertolina.

This will be followed by the main concert with the participation of the Coro Nives di Premana, a prestigious choral ensemble from the province of Lecco, guest of the first evening of this 25th edition.

Coro Stelvio, the heart of the Rassegna

Always a leading figure and promoter of the event, the Coro StelvioExternal link, conducted by Maestro Matteo Bertolina, represents one of the most significant musical realities in Alta Valle. Through a passion for singing and a commitment to promoting choral traditions, the group has been able to give continuity to the Rassegna, turning it over the years into a landmark event of the Christmas season.

As tradition dictates, it will be the Coro Stelvio that will open the evening on 30 December, welcoming the audience before the guest choir’s performance.

Coro Nives of Premana: nearly seventy years of history and passion

Founded in 1957 in Premana, a small town in Valsassina with a strong musical tradition, the Coro Nives was born from a group of friends’ passion for singing, developing over the years into a recognised presence in the world of Alpine choral music.

Made up of male voices, the ensemble has built its artistic identity starting from the classic S.A.T. repertoire, gradually enriching it with folk songs linked to Premana’s culture, original compositions, sacred music and contemporary pieces.

A path of growth shaped above all by Maestro Francesco Sacchi, who led the choir for over forty years, and continued since 2016 under the direction of Maestro Francesco Bussani.

Over the course of its long activity, Coro Nives has taken part in numerous reviews, festivals and competitions, performing in Italy and abroad, from Switzerland to Germany, from Belgium to the Czech Republic.

Among the most significant moments in its history is the 1997 Concert for Peace in Sarajevo Cathedral, an experience that shows how music can also become an extraordinary tool for encounter and solidarity.

An ensemble that today continues to preserve and renew the heritage of folk singing, combining fidelity to its roots with musical research and interpretative quality.

Twenty-five editions of music and tradition

The Rassegna Corale of Valdidentro represents much more than a simple musical event: it is an opportunity to come together, share the beauty of singing and rediscover a cultural heritage that unites mountain communities.

Reaching the 25th edition offers the chance to celebrate this journey and renew the bond between the Rassegna, its audience and the many ensembles that over the years have contributed to enriching its history.

The meeting between Coro Stelvio and Coro Nives promises an evening full of atmosphere, in which the choir members’ voices will accompany the audience on a musical journey made of harmonies, memories and emotions.

The Rassegna will continue on Monday, 4 January 2027 in Premadio, with the second event of the festival, to keep celebrating choral music in the holiday atmosphere.
