The Munt La Schera Tunnel, 3.5 km long, is the main access route to Livigno for those coming from Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Swiss Engadin, and Northern Europe. Located at the Italian-Swiss border, it operates on a one-way alternating basis and requires the payment of a toll.
Open every day 24 hours - one-way alternating traffic (max height 3.60 m - max width 2.55 m).
NOTES
- it is necessary to always carry a valid travel document
- vehicles taller than 3.60 m are not allowed to pass through the tunnel
- online ticket sales are limited to categories of cars with up to 9 seats, motorcycles, and campers/caravans for one-way or round trip only. Tickets for all other vehicle categories cannot be purchased online, but only at the Punt dal Gall toll booth.
- online purchase is strongly recommended and the ticket is discounted. The ticket purchased online can be presented in paper form or in digital format from a mobile device (smartphone, tablet). Only the arrival period needs to be entered for the purchase.
