The Munt La Schera Tunnel, 3.5 km long, is the main access route to Livigno for those arriving from Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, the Swiss Engadine, and Northern Europe. Located at the Italian-Swiss border, it operates on a one-way alternating basis and requires the payment of a toll.
Open every day 24 h - one-way alternating traffic (maximum height 3.60 m - maximum width 2.55 m).
NOTES
- it is necessary to always carry a valid document for expatriation
- the transit of vehicles taller than 3.60 m is not permitted through the tunnel
- the online ticket sale is limited to categories of cars up to 9 seats, motorcycles, and campers/caravans for one-way or round-trip only. Tickets for all other vehicle categories cannot be purchased online, but only at the Punt dal Gall toll booth.
- online purchase is highly recommended and the ticket is discounted. The ticket purchased online can be shown in paper form or in digital format from a mobile device (smartphone, tablet). To purchase, it is only necessary to enter the arrival period.

- 06.00-09.00: open towards Livigno-Switzerland (last transit from the Livigno roundabout at 9:00 AM)
- 10.00-18.00: open towards Switzerland-Livigno (in case of heavy traffic, the right is reserved to extend the closing time towards Switzerland until 8:00 PM)
- 18.00-24.00: one-way alternating traffic
