- 00.00-06.00: one-way alternating traffic
- 06.00-09.00: open towards Livigno-Switzerland (last roundabout transit Livigno at 9.00)
- 10.00-18.00: open towards Switzerland-Livigno (in case of heavy traffic, the right is reserved to extend the closing time towards Switzerland until 20.00)
- 18.00-24.00: one-way alternating traffic

During the Olympic Games of Milan Cortina 2026, from February 5 to 22, 2026, transit will be allowed only with a special permit or shuttle bus

- it is necessary to always carry a valid document for expatriation
- transit through the tunnel is not allowed for vehicles taller than 3.60 m
- online ticket sales are limited to car categories with up to 9 seats, motorcycles, and campers/caravans for one-way or round trip only. Tickets for all other vehicle categories cannot be purchased online, but only at the Punt dal Gall collection point.

The Munt La Schera Tunnel, 3.5 km long, is the main access route to Livigno for those coming from Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, the Swiss Engadin, and Northern Europe. Located at the Italian-Swiss border, it has one-way alternating traffic and requires the payment of a toll.
