Founded in 1979 by the Vallivo Museum of Valfurva Association and Master Mario Testorelli, the ethnographic museum tells the history, culture, traditions, and knowledge of the valley through an exhibition that recreates real environments and atmospheres.
The museum pathway winds through domestic settings (the living room and the kitchen) and spaces dedicated to the work of craftsmen: carpenters, shoemakers, tailors, blacksmiths; other sections describe household, agricultural, and pastoral activities.
A highly evocative mill, operational, for the grinding of rye and the wood-fired oven where bread is baked.
The life of the valley and its inhabitants is evoked by the objects collected in the dedicated sections on costumes, schooling, devotion, the mountains and mountaineering, and the First World War.
