Reaching Bormio

BY TRAIN

During the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Trenord will enhance rail service on the Milan - Tirano route, with trains running every 30 minutes and buses will replace trains if necessary due to infrastructure upgrade works in preparation for the Games.

Trains connecting Milan to Tirano will run every 30 minutes during the following time slots:

  • Milan - Tirano from 4.20 am to 10.20 pm
  • Tirano - Milan from 6.10 am to 11.31 pm (the last train departing Tirano will be at 12.31 am on the days when the evening competitions are sheduled to take place in Livigno).
We recommend purchasing the Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia (I travel everywhere in Lombardy) ticket, which allows you to travel on local public transport throughout Lombardy (city and intercity buses, trams, and subways).
